You did what? 5 secrets about AM Tours in Malta

1. Sunrise in Malta is AMAZING!

Sunrise is Malta is simply spectacular. Imagine a rainbow crashing into the Sun… that’s somewhere close to what you will be seeing. With the onset of Sunrise breaking the dark night, a gamut of colours break across the sky, bouncing off of the high clouds or the morning mist, dancing in front of our cameras.

Simply stunning.

2. Pastizzi and ``Te fit-Tazza``

No morning in Malta should ever go by without the traditional pastizzi and “Te fit-Tazza”, which is translated to Ricotta or Pea filled puff pastry savoury snacks, with a clear glass of tea, with copious amounts of sugar and full fat milk. *disclaimer: you may have your tea the way you like it… but traditionally it is taken with 2 heaped teaspoons of sugar and a heavy dash of tinned milk.

3. Cool air and easy trekking

Our tours take us trekking along the unbeaten path, and it is no surprise that Malta tends to remain warm 10 months out of the year. In the morning though, the air is still fresh and the sun has not yet started to beat down, which means that lugging our lenses across the Maltese countryside does not feel like such a chore.

4. All the buzz is still asleep

It’s not just the local gentry that feel sluggish in the mornings, but also the insects. With the wildlife still gearing up for the day ahead, we are free to trudge about without the need to swat away any insects whose curiosity get the better of them.

We would also be more inclined to experience safely the wonderful world of Malta’s scarce wildlife with the sandman’s dust still in their eyes. Expect to hear a number of Roosters calling the morning in, and if we’re lucky, coming across a Maltese Black, an indigenous Black Chicken that is the highlight of the Fowls in Malta.

5. Enjoy the Silence

Our morning tours allow us to enjoy the Maltese countryside without the hussle and bussle of other people going about their day. With most of the areas we visit being void of human forms, we are able to photograph the natural beauty that our island has to offer.
